- He has used the name "Old Nick" since he burst out into the media world as a musician, artist or performer and it became a trademark.
- Many tried to use his name in vain and it is extremely disturbing when others borrow an existing name in the knowledge that is has already been taken, on the back of some achievements and all this, for personal gain. Unless it is possible to have two David Bowie(s), Beatles, Gaga(s) or two Coca-Cola(s), there seems to be something fundamentally wrong in this process (stealing someone's own name, that is).
- His single "Devil's Life" (1989) received a phenomenal amount of airplay in supermarkets, hospitals and radios in most French speaking countries. Half the song is in French with sampling from the film: The Devil's Envoys (1942) "The Devil's Envoys" by Marcel Carné. A film set in the Middle Ages and shot during the Nazi occupation of France. The main lines written by the poet Jacques Prévert goes: "I'm the devil, so true that I'm here, there and everywhere all at the same time".
- Nick Peterson was born with the added name "Old Nick" #OldNick as featured on his passport.
- He is Scottish, British from his father and of Swiss Sephardic Jewish Italian descent from his mother.
- A film is a series of images and sound. It's a statement. It conveys a message that is supposed to create a reaction. As long as I have something to say I will say it using this medium and in my own way and in a monochromatic or in a multicolored form.
- Old Nick is my name, Old Nick Peterson. As a recording artist, it has been my name since 1983, but in America, ASCAP, the society of authors and composers registered a Jazz band with the same name, ignoring the rules. It's still hell for one of the 5 devils: Yours truly. As we know, there are 4 David Bowie(s), 20 Nina Simone(s), 3 Lady Gaga(s), 12 Beyoncé(s), 5 Taylor Swift(s) and 36 Beatles.
- Music is an art form. It doesn't have to be big and commercial. It's the ability of one human to feel alive and communicate this sentiment to another (human or animal). It's just something that one does.
- Old Nick. The name has been in use and registered since 1983. In the last few years, a jazz band, a heavy metal band and a guy with long hair and a cape called themselves Old Nick. Old Nick is not an occasional name used by Nick Peterson. occasional on 27 albums since 1983! All albums are signed by both Old Nick and his alter ego Virtual Alien AKA Nick Peterson. Show business is an over saturated jungle and the haters will do everything to belittle and remove its competitors.
- In my latest album Remove Your Face my singing in the title track has been described as a 'group of headless chickens shrieking and feeding inside a farm' adding 'somewhere, anywhere like Ohio'.
Yes, spot on! That's precisely what it was. The story of the song is about a farmer in Ohio. What's wrong with farming in Ohio?
