Dražen Bosnjak is a New York City - based composer, sound designer, and spatial-audio specialist, born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. His work merges composition and sound design into a single, authorial practice often described as "music-design," spanning film, TV and immersive/XR experiences. Bosnjak is the founder of Q Department and co-founder of Mach1, a spatial-audio technology company.
His recent credits include SNL 50th: Immersive Experience (Emmy-winning 2025), UFC 306 at Sphere Las Vegas, Doug Aitken’s Lightscape, and The Martian VR Experience. Additional work includes Shawn Mendes: Red Rocks Live in VR (Emmy-nominated 2025, Outstanding Emerging Media Program), as well as film projects such as Tell Tale, Creative Control, and Prometheus (2012). He is also a longtime collaborator of contemporary artist Marco Brambilla, contributing sound across multiple Brambilla works including Evolution (Megaplex) 3D, Limit of Control, After Utopia.
