Biography

  • Tony graduated from the University of King's College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Journalism degree and began his writing career as a newspaper reporter. Soon after, he began writing both short and feature length screenplays. In 1997 he joined the New Brunswick Filmmaker's Co-operative where he started to make his own short films. His half-hour short "Caught Looking" opened the inaugural Tidal Wave Film Festival in 2001.

    In 2002, Tony graduated from the Canadian Film Centre's Professional Screenwriting Programme. Upon graduating, Tony was hired to adapt Stevie Cameron's best-selling non-fiction book "Blue Trust" into a feature script. In 2003 he was hired to write for the CTV series "Robson Arms".

    Tony graduated from the National Screen Institute's Totally Television Program with his half hour comedy The New Twenty. The pilot script was selected as a semi-finalist at the 2012 Austin Film Festival Teleplay Competition in the sitcom pilot category, placing it in the top seven of more than 500 entries.

    Tony is currently developing his own original series Book Club for CTV.
