Anita Sax (born Ann Margaret Sax) is an actress, songwriter, and children’s book author.

Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Mexico City, she moved to California at age 14 to attend Idyllwild Arts Academy and later studied at the California Institute of the Arts. She began her career in television, appearing in productions in Mexico, including telenovelas and voice-over work for Televisa.

A wordsmith at heart, she has expanded her creative work into writing and music. She is the author of children's books focused on emotional growth and resilience, and a bilingual singer-songwriter with over 70 original songs released across digital platforms.

Her work blends storytelling, music, and visual creativity, reflecting a passion for connecting with audiences through meaningful and expressive content.

Is the granddaughter of George D. Sax, (April 14, 1904 - March 12, 1974), who built the Saxony Hotel (1948). It was the first hotel in Miami Beach to have central air-conditioning. George D. Sax was also the CEO of The Exchange National Bank of Chicago, (now Bank of America), where thanks to many of his brilliant ideas, the innovative practice of drive through banking was started.

Is related to Leon Trotsky, (born Lev Davidovich Bronstein 1879-1940), on her paternal grandmother's side.
