- Dianna is a late bloomer, even though she has worked in the performing arts since leaving school over 40 years ago. Meaning, it took a long time for her to find her voice (her actual, authentic, vocal apparatus), and even longer to find her true creative voice. In 2019 she set up a not-for-profit company, Music Theatre Projects, to nurture, develop and produce a range of projects, live and recorded.
She calls herself genre-fluid and works as a musician (piano graduate from Victorian College of the Arts), voice and piano coach (Estill Voice Certificate of Proficiency, a Churchill Fellow, CAPO award winner, and AMEB-commended teacher), voice and accent coach for theatre and film (including many projects with The Street, Canberra, and with opera and theatre companies), performer (acting, cabaret, odds and ends) and creative producer (lots of stuff).
Dianna has been nibbling around the edges of the film and TV industry since the 80s. In the 80s and 90s, as a model, Dianna completed TV commercials and photo shoots. She even played a teency bit of "Moonlight Sonata" on Sale of the Century as one of the product models. She was supposed to be hand model for some rings on that episode as well, but when they saw her piano-playing hands, they politely explained they'd find someone else to do that bit. (She also worked as a house cleaner to put herself through VCA at that time, so they didn't want manual labourers' hands.)
TV performances as singer or pianist included many a breakfast show, a few 'talent' competitions, and some evening variety shows (ah - those were the days).
