Biography

  • Trained at the prestigious Classe Libre of the Cours Florent, Arnaud Valois began his film career in Selon Charlie by Nicole Garcia, appearing alongside Jean-Pierre Bacri, Vincent Lindon and Benoît Magimel. He went on to work with Josiane Balasko (Cliente) and André Téchiné (La Fille du RER). He gained wider recognition in 2017 with 120 Beats per Minute (120 battements par minute) by Robin Campillo, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. His role as Nathan earned him a César nomination for Most Promising Actor and the Lumières Award for Best Newcomer. The film marked a turning point in his career and launched him onto the international scene. Since then, he has moved between auteur cinema and international projects, appearing in Paradise Hills (Sundance), My Best Part (Garçon Chiffon), Spring Blossom (Seize Printemps), Good Grief (Netflix), as well as the series Moloch, LT-21, and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld (Disney+, Canneseries 2024), in which he portrays Yves Saint Laurent. In 2025, he starred in La Femme De by David Roux (Angoulême Film Festival) and joined the cast of Season 4 of The Morning Show (Apple TV+), playing Arnaud Dumont, the brother of Marion Cotillard’s character. He also returned to the stage at the Théâtre de Chaillot in The Ugly Duckling (Le Vilain Petit Canard), alongside dancer Raphaëlle Delaunay, with original music by Étienne Daho. In parallel, he is developing his work as a writer-director. After his first short film, Le Nouveau Moi, he is currently working on Ultra Viril, his debut feature, co-written with Mathilde Henzelin and in development with Jour Premier Productions.
