Benny Ciaramello was born on April 4th, 1988 in Providence, Rhode Island. He is an Italian-American actor whose ancestral lineage traces its roots to Sicily, Florence, and Milan. He maintains bi-coastal residency in both New York City and Los Angeles California.
Ciaramello began his training under renowned Portuguese theater and film director Pedro Varela, an early collaborator of Irvine Welsh and director of Europe’s first stage adaptation of (Trainspotting). At the John Raitt Theater, Ciaramello built a foundation in stagecraft before continuing his studies with respected coaches including Eric Morris, Stephanie Fury (Strasberg), Monica Garcia (Stella Adler), John Coppola, and Shari Shaw. He made his film debut in Steven Spielberg’s (War of the Worlds), which led to additional roles in television and film including (The Gaurdian) with Kevin Costner, (Saint Francis) with Dita Von Teese and the cult classic film (The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down). He booked his first series regular pilot in Filthy Gorgeous opposite Isabella Rossellini and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau while simultaneously continuing stage work with touring performances as Jacob Marley in a gothic adaptation of Charles Dicken's (A Christmas Carol) and Angel in (Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train). Ciaramello became most known for his role as Santiago Herrera on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning (Friday Night Lights). He later entered a contract hold deal with ABC, leading to series regular roles in the hamlet adaptation (The Prince of Motor City), alongside Piper Perabo, Aidan Quinn, and Andie MacDowell, and (See Kate Run) with Amy Smart. Additional credits include (Secrets and Lies) opposite Ryan Phillipe and Juliette Lewis, (Mosquito) opposite Shawn Hatosy, and Warner Bros. (Live by Night), directed by Ben Affleck. He will next be seen recurring as Virgil Hayes in Season 4 of the NETFLIX series (The Night Agent), as well as the lead in (The First Circle) , the first installment in a crime-fantasy-horror franchise from filmmaker Mark Chapman slated for a 2027 release.
