Maahi is an Indian singer, songwriter, and performer best known for his work in Hindi music. He made his Bollywood playback debut in 2025 with the song "Tera Kya Karoon" from the film Nadaaniyan. Before entering films, Maahi gained recognition through a series of independent releases and his debut EP Talab (2025). In 2025, he was also named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year and featured on a digital billboard at Times Square, New York.
Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Maahi is the younger son of acclaimed singer Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee. Growing up in a musically rich household, he was exposed to playback singing and live performances from an early age. His elder brother, Soham Mukherjee, is a musician and producer; the two have frequently performed with their father at concerts in India and internationally. His uncle Martin Da Costa is a Portuguese-UK businessman who served as co-founder and CEO of SeventyEMG and director of India Bike Week and his aunt Sagarika is an actress and singer as well.
Maahi made his first on-screen appearance for the music video song "Tishnagi", sung by Shaan in January 2006, when he was 8 months old. Later, he began his independent music career in 2024 with his debut single "Sorry", followed by "Jaadugari", "Tere Saath", and "Meri Kya Khata". His 2025 releases include "Dil Behkaaye" and "Jaan Se Zyada", the latter featuring his parents in the music video. His debut EP Talab, released in October 2025, features "Talab", "Vaari Vaari", "Raahein", and "Dildari", exploring themes of love, longing, and introspection.
In May 2024, Maahi performed alongside Shaan and Soham at the Bharat Parv cultural showcase during the Cannes Film Festival, further establishing his presence as a live performer.
