Mark Ludbrook

Mark Ludbrook AKA Luddy ( Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian-Australian Paralympic athlete, speaker and entrepreneur. A below-knee amputee, he represented Canada at five Paralympic Games between 1984 and 2002 competing in swimming at the Summer Games and alpine skiing at the Winter Games and won bronze in both, a rare medal feat across the two seasons. He carried Canada's flag at the opening ceremony of the 2002 Winter Paralympics in Salt Lake City. That same year he appeared as himself in Ski Bums, a National Film Board of Canada documentary directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker John Zaritsky. The film debut was at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002. Now based on Australia's Gold Coast, Ludbrook works as a keynote speaker and business owner, built on a lifelong theme of reinvention through adversity.
