- Since completing his masters studies in pedagogy, psychology and philosophy in 2007 (MA, University of Munich), Alexander Landsberger has created films for German public television on diverse subjects, including documentary series Charles Darwin (2009), The History of Homeopathy (2010), Werner Heisenberg (2011), and How Food Changed the World (2012). In 2015 he wrote and directed Ernst Gennat: The First Cop, a TV documentary about the founder of modern criminal forensic methods.
In 2010 Alexander gained admission to the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg to develop his filmmaking. In April 2014 he completed his studies. His thesis film, John Mulholland: Truth and Magic, was produced in collaboration with Germany's SWR (Southwest Broadcasting) and was awarded the Caligari Prize. In addition to documentaries, Alexander enjoys making image films and commercials. Among his award-winning spots are advertising films for Porsche, the German Organ Transplantation Foundation, German Statutory Accident Insurance, and UNESCO.
