ShyBoy is a recording artist, composer, and DJ/producer whose music has garnered over 70 million streams and been featured in films, video games, and television series, including RuPaul's Drag Race, Dynasty, America's Next Top Model, Devil May Cry 4, and Halloween. He has collaborated with artists such as Emmy-winning RuPaul, hip-hop artist SlimKid3 (The Pharcyde), EDM producer Darude, Grammy-nominated songwriter Wendy Waldman, Emmy-winning composer Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies), and Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-winning songwriter Allee Willis.
ShyBoy composed the music for the Emmy-nominated Shudder/AMC documentary series Queer for Fear: The History of Queer Horror. The series features several tracks from his LP His Royal Shyness, including the main title "Backroom," which was described by World of Wonder as "a gritty masterpiece." The score and soundtrack also include the track "Dildo Machine," a collaboration between ShyBoy and Alaska (RuPaul's Drag Race).
Named Best Solo Artist in LA Weekly's 10th Annual Best of L.A. Awards, ShyBoy has also received two Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Best Male Vocalist and Best Alternative Performance with his band Hypnogaja. His work as a producer and DJ includes mixes for RuPaul, The B-52's (farewell tour), and Donna Summer (with his remix of "Supernatural Love" featured on the 40th-anniversary edition of the LP Cats Without Claws).
