Actor Ashiesh Bist is a versatile performer shaped by a rich blend of experience and dedication. His roots are from Uttarakhand but he was born and raised in Mumbai. He discovered his passion for acting early on, representing his college in the prestigious IPTA Inter Collegiate Drama Competitions from 1983 to 1985. He later performed in notable plays such as "Ek Aur Abhimanyu" and the 2025 stage production "Mumbai by the Sea", an adaptation of Piyush Mishra’s "Jab Shahar Hamara Sota Hai". A trained actor from Anupam Kher’s renowned "Actor Prepares", Ashiesh continues to refine and elevate his craft through every performance.
His screen journey features an impressive range of roles across films, television, and OTT platforms. His upcoming film credits include Maddock Film's "Nikam" as a Government Officer and Junglee Pictures' "Daayra" as a neighbour to the rape victim, along with cameo roles of cricket commentator in "Test" and Raja Janak in "Singham Again". On television, he has portrayed diverse characters in top shows such as Gum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein, Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai, Swaraj, Ek Mahanayak : Dr B R Ambedkar, Megha Barsenge, Crime World, and Savdhaan India. His work also extends to music videos, including Sukhwinder Singh’s Nagini, and short films like Continuity and Asthi Visarjan, where he delivered powerful and emotionally rooted performances.
