Amy DiPlacido

Amy DiPlacido is an art writer, curator, and consultant based in Northern California. She specializes in textile-based practices and has held museum curatorial roles, most recently as Head Curator at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, and as a quilt cataloger at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. She holds an MFA in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA in Fiber from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. DiPlacido is a regular columnist for Fiber Art Now and Basketry+ and was featured as an artist in America's Heartland PBS during her residency at Art Farm.
