- David Spaeth was born in 1975 in Nantes/France. He grew up in southern Germany, studied film television and musicology in Bochum, lived in Berlin and studied directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His projects are mostly documentary works for public broadcasters broadcast usually after 11 pm. Since 2010 David Spaeth also teaches; first at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where he is senior lecturer of the international class. Then also as part of the documentary department of the HFF Munich.
