Dante Trinidad is an Iraq War veteran and registered nurse whose filmmaking is shaped by the experiences that defined his life. What many see as weakness, he has learned to turn into strength. The hypervigilance that came from PTSD became a powerful flow state behind the camera, allowing him to focus with intensity and block out everything else, the same way he once ignored rockets and gunfire as a combat medic.

His writing is influenced by the isolation, guilt, and emotional weight carried after war. Those truths shaped the characters in Turmoil, creating raw and authentic people who fight through darkness and still recognize the value of small moments of light. Dante builds stories from lived experience, resilience, and the humanity he witnessed in veterans and the patients he serves as a nurse.
