Cassie Jaye is a renowned filmmaker and the founder and CEO of Jaye Bird Productions, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born at the Fort Sill U.S. Army post in Oklahoma and raised in Brier, Washington, Jaye's early interest in storytelling began at age 8, when she began acting with the Taproot Theatre Company in Seattle. After moving to Las Vegas at 15 and pursuing film acting studies, she relocated to Los Angeles at 18, where she gained experience acting in independent films and commercials. During the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike, Jaye transitioned to filmmaking, founding Jaye Bird Productions in 2008 and directing her first feature documentary, Daddy I Do.

Over the years, Jaye has directed and produced over a dozen films and commercials, with her work being showcased at more than 40 film festivals worldwide. Her documentaries have earned widespread recognition, including critical acclaim from major publications such as The New York Times, LA Times, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. Her groundbreaking feature documentary The Red Pill (2017), which explores the Men's Rights Movement, became a major success, topping VOD sales charts ahead of new release films like Moana, Rogue One, and Logan. Jaye's TEDx Talk, "Meeting the Enemy," has garnered over 12 million views, solidifying her as a leading voice in discussions on gender.

Her latest documentary The Red Pill (2016) has caused controversy before it has been released, supposedly due to the manner in which it deals with the controversial men's movement. She received no backing or support from any of her normal sources, and resorted to a Kickstarter campaign online to raise funds. Within weeks she had reached her goal.
