Stepmother of Montgomery Doohan and Christopher Doohan.

In 1974, Wende, then age 17, met James Doohan at a theater performance. After a brief courtship, they married later that year on October 12, 1974 after she turned 18. Doohan was 54. The best man was fellow Star Trek (1966) actor William Campbell, who portrayed "Klingon Captain Koloth" and "Trelane" in the original series.
