MC Couper is a rapper and songwriter from Kerala, India. He entered the Malayalam-rap scene in 2019 with his debut single Nerchappattu. Raised during the digital-music boom, he was influenced by international hip-hop artists and developed an interest in word-play, rhythm, and storytelling through music.
He has worked with producer and artist Parimal Shais on projects including Karirumb (2019) and the Rap Bhusham Cochin Brothers EP (2022), which features tracks such as Therapara, Venjarippu, and Sadhanam Kayyilundo. Couper's wider breakthrough came with the collaborative single Ayyayyo, with Hanumankind, Thirumali, and Parimal Shais.
Couper made his film-music debut with Neeyetha from Naradan (2022) and subsequently wrote and performed songs for Malayalam films, including Purusha Pretham (2023), Romancham (2023), Aavesham (2024), Nadikar (2024), and Bromance (2025). His more widely recognised songs include Mathapithakkale (from Aavesham) and Thalatherichavar (from Romancham). In 2024, he appeared in the Red Bull "64 Bars" series (Minnal Pinar) and performed at Spotify's RAP 91 event. He writes and performs in Malayalam, English, and bilingual formats.
