Biography

Born in Mexico City, Sergio Díaz is a renowned Sound Designer and Re-Recording Mixer in the global film industry. With over 99 films in his career, his work has earned prestigious nominations and awards worldwide.

In 2019, Sergio was nominated for an Oscar for Best Sound Editing and won the Golden Reel Award from the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) for his exceptional work on "ROMA" by Alfonso Cuarón. He was also nominated for a BAFTA Award in 2021 for his contribution to Chloé Zhao's "Nomadland". Previously, he received another Golden Reel Award for his work on Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" (2007).
