Tomas Sbrissa

Tomas Sbrissa is a director and screenwriter from Friuli, with a lifelong passion for creative writing and, more recently, documentary cinema. He graduated in DAMS (Drama, Art and Music Studies) in Gorizia and completed the International Master in Cinema Studies with a specialization in digital storytelling at the University of Udine, also studying in France, Belgium, and Malta. His first documentary, Edo Janich - The sculptor of emptiness (2024), which also served as his thesis project, saw him take on the roles of director, screenwriter, editor, and co-producer. It was distributed by the streaming platform MyCulture+ after being selected for the Coliseum International Film Festival and the Janakapur Film Festival.
