Akama (real name Alexandre Ada) is an award-winning French film director known for his mix of imagination, craft, and curiosity. A former aikido practitioner, he chose the name "Akama" as a symbol of discipline and mastery, qualities that also shape his art.
For more than two decades, he has directed acclaimed commercials, trailers, and animated shorts for leading brands, blending poetic storytelling with playful humor and technical excellence.
Influenced by cinema, manga, and video games, Akama approaches filmmaking like a chef of images, combining unique ingredients to create emotionally resonant, visually distinctive films.
He founded Akama Studio and later NKI, both internationally recognized for their innovation, before launching 2WICE, his new studio dedicated to high-end animation and VFX.
