- Jorge Enrique Baldeón Triana (also known as JEBCG) is an Ecuadorian 3D artist, animator, and filmmaker whose career spans fine art, commercial production, and independent animation. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Graphic Design from ESPOL University (2004) and has co-founded two animation studios-RAMP02 Animation Studio (2005-2008) and BOT Animation Studio (2010-2021)-where he led character development and CG production pipelines. He has also taught 3D animation and modeling at the University of Guayaquil and ESPOL University.
Baldeón’s fine-art work was exhibited at the Municipal Museum of Guayaquil in 2001, and his 3D artwork has been featured by 3dTotal, CGSociety, CGChannel, and Autodesk’s The Area, as well as published in D’artiste: Character Modeling - Digital Artists Masterclass (2005). In recognition of his digital art, Autodesk named him Artist of the Month in December 2016 and Artist of the Year in 2017.
He transitioned into filmmaking with the sci-fi animated short ANV (2022), which won Best Animation at Pause Film Festival. His follow-up, Sharp Dressed Ham (2023), received multiple festival awards. In 2025, his short HEPT achieved major international success, screening at leading festivals, winning multiple awards, earning a Vimeo Staff Pick, and being featured on the streaming platform DUST.
Working under the JEBCG label, Baldeón’s films reflect his roots as a solo 3D artist, building stories from character outward and blending bold visuals, sculptural detail, and expressive motion in high-end independent animation.
