Biography

Geert Wilders was born on September 6, 1963 in Venlo, Limburg, Netherlands. He is a writer and producer, known for Religulous (2008), Fitna (2008) and A Current Affair (1971). He has been married to Krisztina Marfai since July 31, 1992.

He was supposed to be a guest in episode 16.3 (with Cor Bakker) of Dit was het nieuws (1996), but for his own safety he was unable to come. This episode is the only in the whole series with just one guest. A season later, in episode 17.6, Wilders was a guest and nothing was said about him not showing up a year earlier.

Refuses to be a guest on talk shows Pauw & Witteman (2006), RTL Late Night (2013), De halve maan (2011), De nieuwe maan (2016), Buitenhof (1995), Cafe Kockelmann (2024) and satirical news/comedy show Zondag met Lubach (2014). He also refuses to be on Pauw (2014), although he did make an exception for a special episode because that episode was part of an electoral debate (Episode #1.89 (2015)). Although he also categorically refuses to be a guest on talk shows De wereld draait door (2005), Pauw & Jinek: De verkiezingen (2017) and Jinek (2013), he can, in a few episodes, be seen in segments that where shot on location. Apart from these television shows, he also refuses to be a guest on radio talk show 'Kamerbreed'.

Is of partial Indonesian descent on his mother's side of his family.

Member of the Dutch House of Representatives from August 25th, 1998 to May 23rd, 2002 and from July 26th, 2002 for consecutively the VVD (People's Party for Freedom and Democracy), Groep Wilders (Group Wilders, September 4th, 2004 to November 22nd, 2006) and the PVV (Party for Freedom, as of November 22nd, 2006).
