A Canadian, mixed race (South Asian/French Canadian) actress, Lara's career across film, television and commercial mediums has spanned more than 20 years. Her career made a sizable impact with a successful career in kids television, which included her leading role in 52 episodes of the YTV and Jetix UK television series, Monster Warriors, as well as many other credits across the Family Channel and Nickelodeon networks. A five year break from the industry to have her two children only strengthened her resolve for a career on screen. Past notable film and television credits include Flashpoint, Private Eyes, Warehouse 13, and Land of the Dead. Recent credits include the lead role in the Lifetime Original The Night Everything Changed, a recurring role in the hit Hallmark series Mistletoe Murders, a recurring role in the acclaimed animated show Paw Patrol, Cross (Amazon), Workin' Moms (CBC/Netflix), Country Hearts (UP TV), Operation Nutcracker (Hallmark), and Wild Cards (CW). When not in front of the camera, Lara has expanded her creative reach working as a writer, with an award winning script for her short film "Reject" in pre-production as well as scripts for multiple television projects, all in development. She also holds a Wine Specialist Certificate, her WSET 3 designation as well as the Italian Wine Scholar Certification - all industry leading certificates in the world of wine. Her wine knowledge led her to collaborate with food influencer Harley Morenstein (Epic Meal Time) on the Thrillist show Wine and Cheeseburger which she hopes is only the beginning of merging all of her passions together. Lara works in close collaboration with her husband, celebrated Canadian film and television producer, Alex Jordan (Jordan Entertainment) with a focus on bringing stories to life that reflect her diverse background as a mixed-race woman with young children. Their upcoming short film Freeborn, a post apocalyptic thriller, is currently on a global festival run with a general release in 2026/27.
