- Matt Sharp is the founder and CEO of Sharp Entertainment, a producer of unscripted television founded in 2003 and now part of Sony Pictures Television Nonfiction. He is the creative force behind 90 Day Fiancé (2014) and its spinoffs, as well as Love After Lockup (2018), Man v. Food (2008), Extreme Couponing (2011), Doomsday Preppers (2011), Marrying Millions (2019), Food Wars (2010), Love Off the Grid (2022), American Tarzan (2016), Bert the Conqueror (2010), and The Fabulous Life (2003). His shows have appeared on The Discovery Channel, TLC, VH1, Bravo, National Geographic, A&E, Travel Channel and The Food Network, among others. The Hollywood Reporter named him a "Reality Heatmaker" in 2023, and in 2024 Broadcasting+Cable/Multichannel News named him "Producer of The Year."
Before founding Sharp Entertainment, he worked in production and development at Viacom and CBS News.

- Parents were history professor James Roger Sharp and the late journalist and professor Nancy Sharp, both of whom taught at Syracuse University.
- Began his entertainment industry career as an intern at MTV before becoming a page at CBS at the Ed Sullivan Theater during The Late Show with David Letterman. He followed that with a stint at CBS News before working as a writer at VH-1.
