Deedee Rahal discovered her love for performance at an early age, beginning her training at the American National Academy of Performing Arts in Studio City, California. Alongside her studies in acting, she trained in tap, jazz, and ballet at the Moro Landis Dance Studio. Her first acting teacher was the legendary director Francis Lederer, who instilled in her a passion for the craft that continues to this day.
At just eight years old, she joined the Screen Extras Guild in Hollywood and stepped onto film sets for the first time. She appeared as an extra in E.T., spending a week filming scenes for what would become one of the most iconic movies of its time. She also appeared in Goliath Awaits, where she danced in a scene with Christopher Lee and shared breaks on set with John Carradine, who delighted the children by drawing puppet characters on their hands.
Her training continued at the High School of Performing Arts in Van Nuys, California, where she earned second place at the Shakespeare Festival for her performance as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew opposite Ryan Bollman. This recognition earned her a scholarship to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City.
In New York, she further honed her craft and performed in several productions with small theaters, including the MacLow Theatre. Her diverse background in both stage and screen has given her a wide range of experience, from classical theatre to modern productions, and she continues to bring dedication and authenticity to every role she takes on.
