Hayden Fry was born on 28 February 1929 in Eastland, Texas, USA. He was married to Shirley Griffin and Hueleita. He died on 17 December 2019 in Texas, USA.
Fry coached the Hawkeyes at the University of Iowa from 1978-1998. His
overall record was 143-89-6; Bowl record:6-7-1. He was inducted into
the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003.
