Biography

Baharul Islam is an Indian veteran actor who has worked in more than 50 films in different languages besides featuring in over 100 plays. He was born in Goalpara and graduated from National School of Drama in 1990 before foraying into acting.

He later shifted his base to Mumbai. The versatile artist is well-known for his contributions in the Hindi and Assamese cinema. He is one of the most sought-after artists from Assam.

Baharul Islam is the recipient of Best Actor award, which he earned for Bangla film Alifa from the state government. He is a linguistic and can speak Hindi, Bangla and Assamese fluently.

He has earned great recognition and accolades for donning several hats for different roles. He has built his credentials and a holistic portfolio to excel in the field of entertainment industry.
