  • When filming Crunch & Des, he grew so fast that at one point the other actors had to stand on boxes in some scenes in order to appear much taller than him.
  • Broke his neck diving off a cliff in Bermuda the same week (May 1995) and the same vertebra (C2 fracture) as actor Christopher Reeve. But whereas it left Reeve paralyzed from the neck down, in Murray's case the nerve was not severed and after several months wearing a halo, he completely recovered from his injury.
