David Izekor is an emerging filmmaker, originally from East London. Diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a rare and aggressive brain cancer, at age 18 in 2021, David channeled his personal journey into a compelling narrative. After surviving a hemorrhagic stroke and undergoing a ten-hour awake brain surgery, he created One in Two (2025), a crowdfunded documentary that captures his experience as a cancer survivor, sparking vital conversations about resilience and living with a diagnosis. His story gained recognition through a BBC London News feature, amplified by his impactful use of TikTok to share his journey. One in Two marks David Izekor's directorial debut, a poignant documentary that showcases his ability to blend personal storytelling with universal themes.
