Biography

He found his interest in football early on. Robert Huth gained his first experiences in the youth club "VfB Fortuna Biesdorf". At "1. FC Union Berlin" he rose to become a promising young talent. He moved to England for the 2000/01 season after receiving a playing contract with the Chelsea FC youth team. After convincing results, he moved to Chelsea's professional team at the age of 17 in the 2001/02 season. He made his debut in the English Premier League on the last day of the season after coming on as a substitute in the game against Aston Villa. He played his first full game during the UEFA Cup against "Viking Stavanger". On August 18, 2004, Huth celebrated his debut for the German national team in the Germany/Austria match in Vienna.

After convincing results, he became a player in the national team during the 2004 Confederation Cup in Germany, in which the DFB team took third place.
