She us a proud mother of six, living in Albert Bridge, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where she and her family relocated in September 2020. With more than two decades of experience in finance and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit, Denika has established herself as a driven and versatile professional. Her extensive background also includes over 10 years in the transportation industry, notably as a partner in the ownership of Speak Quality Transport.
In 2024, Denika's career took an unexpected but passionate turn into the world of film. Despite having no prior experience in the industry, she quickly became enamoured with it, opening three film support companies across Cape Breton. Her dedication to the growth of the film industry in the region has made her a key player in its development, supporting local talent and fostering opportunities for filmmakers on the Island.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Denika is deeply committed to her family and community. Raised in an entrepreneurial household, she learned the values of hard work and giving back from an early age. Cooking for a family of eight, including five dogs, is just one example of her love and devotion to her family. She has also been actively involved in volunteer work, having served as a volunteer firefighter and sat on various non-profit boards. Denika continues to contribute to her community by volunteering in local theater, an interest she began in early 2024.
