Biography

Joseph Puente was born in Los Angeles, California. He lived there for about six years before moving with his family to Madera County, California in 1980 where he lived in the towns of Coarsegold and Oakhurst respectively until 1989 when he moved to Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He lived in Utah until 1993 when he enlisted in the United States Navy and has served in Illinois, Massachusetts, Florida Panama and Maine! He was discharged in 1998 and returned to Utah where he attended Weber State University in Ogden and then moved to Sanpete County, Utah.

Joe Puente made his first feature length film during the last five months of his enlistment in the Navy. Titled "Barracks Rats," the film starred Joe and his friends Jeremy Para, Ryan Nardi and Bill Cuellar.

Born on the same day as actor Jerry O'Connell.

Currently residing in Moroni, Utah and managing The Central Utah Filmmakers Association in Mt. Pleasant.
