Gilles Gambino

Gilles Gambino is a French filmmaker, director, producer, actor and acting coach whose career spans music, acting and independent cinema. He began his career in the French music industry as an artist and producer, working with major labels including BMG, Sony and EMI. He later moved into acting, appearing in French television productions for TF1 and M6, as well as feature films including District 13 (EuropaCorp) and Cortex (Wild Bunch). After relocating from Paris to Barcelona, Gambino directed and produced his first feature film, a guerrilla-style sci-fi comedy made outside the traditional studio system. The film premiered at the Sitges Film Festival, followed by his second feature. His third and fourth feature films went on to secure international distribution. His fifth feature, Anarchy Radio, was released internationally in 2024. A hands on filmmaker, Gambino works across writing, directing, producing and editing. His experience as both an actor and director also led him to develop his work as an acting coach, helping performers understand the practical demands of working on camera and on set. He continues to develop and produce feature films, shorts, music videos and other screen projects through Kinobarna Pictures, while also working with artists and performers through Kinobarna Music and Kinobarna Lab.
