Sean is a Screenwriter and Director who began making films while growing up in Sydney and Hong Kong, and studied Film and Television Production at the VCA School of Film and Television in Melbourne (formerly Swinburne). As a student, Sean made several 16mm shorts, training in Screenwriting, Direction, Editing and Cinematography, graduating in 1993.
Sean has written screenplays in various genres, including Action-Adventure, Thriller, Science-Fiction and Horror. Since 1994, he has worked in several production roles and has directed short films, commercials and documentaries.
In 2006, Sean interned with production companies in Los Angeles and worked as an Assistant at Larger Than Life Productions on the Universal Studios lot, learning the studio development process. While in LA, Sean also frequented screenwriting workshops, seminars and developed his own projects.
In 2010, Sean's feature screenplay, "Claws", was a finalist in the Beverly Hills Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. In 2011, Sean directed and produced a proof-of-concept short film, based on the feature screenplay. In 2014, another screenplay, "The Legend of Yakatutch", was awarded Best Project & Pitch by a panel of international judges, during the 3-D Stereo Media Summit in Liege, Belgium. The screenplay has also placed in numerous screenwriting competitions in the US and Canada.
In 2017, Sean produced, directed and edited a 5-part documentary about the international school he attended in Hong Kong, to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The project was completed in 2021. He also co-wrote the Sci-Fi/Thriller "Shadow Men" in 2020, with Kent Hill. Sean taught Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy Australia, from 2023 until its closure in early 2025.
Sean's latest screenplay is "One Big Night", a Crime/Thriller set in the world of Los Angeles nightclubs.
