Victor Prieto is a Mexican actor who emerged as a breakout star in Mexican cinema following his lead role in the acclaimed film En el camino (On the Road), directed by David Pablos.Before making his big-screen debut, Victor worked in a field completely unrelated to the arts: he studied Electromechanical Engineering and worked on industrial and residential projects in his hometown. His life took an unexpected turn when a client shared a casting call with him. Although his initial intention was only to accompany and support his partner, Emir, the casting directors encouraged Victor to audition as well. To his surprise, he was ultimately selected by David Pablos for the starring role.His performance in En el camino, a film that portrays a passionate love story within the rugged environment of northern Mexican truck drivers, earned him international recognition. The feature film premiered at the prestigious Venice International Film Festival and later screened at the Morelia International Film Festival, instantly placing him in the spotlight of the global film industry.
