Biography

Sheila Boyd was born on November 20, 1959 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She is an actress and writer, known for Firestarter (2022), Exhibit A: Secrets of Forensic Science (1997) and Clarice (2021).

Sheila was Miss Easter Seal in 1968. Hamilton Mayor Vic Copps claimed "You must be one of the cutest Miss Easter Seals that Hamilton has ever had."

Sheila is an advocate for performers with disabilities and was one of the creators of the ACTRA Toronto Performers, AccessAbilities Task Force. She also sat on the board of The Abilities Arts Festival, now known as Tangled Art + Disability.

Sheila was born with spina bifida. She wore a Milwaukee brace from age 5 to 8 after which she underwent Harrington rod surgery to correct her scoliosis.
