Biography

Tanya Tagaq was born on May 5, 1975 in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, Canada. She is a composer and actress, known for Thoroughbreds (2017), Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025) and True Detective (2014).

She is an Inuit throat singer and artist. Many of her works deal with abuse of indigenous women and children and of nature.
