Robert Hughes was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where his passion for acting and performing was ignited through his involvement in high school drama. Relocating to New Orleans, Louisiana, marked the beginning of a dynamic journey into the world of entertainment. Initially entering the industry through music, Robert honed his skills as a stagehand at a renowned French Quarter venue known for hosting national touring artists. His dedication and professionalism quickly advanced him to roles as stage manager, production assistant, and tour manager, collaborating with prominent musical acts and major festivals nationwide.

Robert's transition into film was serendipitous, sparked by an accidental encounter with a movie production in the French Quarter. Recognizing the thriving opportunities in film and television within New Orleans, Robert enthusiastically pursued acting training, joined theatre productions, and steadily built his reputation. His commitment and talent soon secured him representation with a leading talent agency in the Greater New Orleans area.

His versatile portfolio includes featured roles in notable film and television projects such as "The Iron Claw" (A24), Netflix's "Carry On," and "The Nickel Boys," as well as appearances in popular series including "Leverage: Redemption" (Freevee) and "Life & Beth" (Hulu).
