Biography

Matthew Mugo is a Film/Theatre actor. He was raised in Jersey City, NJ. He is known for his role as "The Boss" on What the Hell? Again?! (2025). And his role as the Boy Genius in Sammy Rae and the Friends Music Video "No Rulebook". Matthew also made an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" (2026) in a Stranger Things Sequel Promo Sketch. He serves in the United States Army while actively building his acting career. Growing up, he grew inspiration from actors he saw on stage and in film, sparking a lifelong passion for performance. This early exposure to the craft fueled his ambition and nurtured a deep, national love for acting that continues to drive his career. He has since appeared in a variety of stage and screen productions, including [The Gilded Age], [Roommates], and many more! In Theatre he has been in [The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940], [The Lightning Thief], [Once Upon a Mattress], [Tales of Olympus] and many others!

Throughout the years Matthew has taken dedicated performing arts lessons and completed a film production class, further sharpening his skills both in front of and behind the camera. These experiences have allowed him to better understand the creative process as a whole, bringing depth and perspective to every role he takes on. Balancing military service with his pursuit of the acting, he continues to challenge himself with new opportunities, building a career grounded in discipline, and passion.
