Biography

Stella Michael is a filmmaker and actor based in London. She comes from Athens, Greece and she is a graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens, Greece, the Drama School of the Theatre Art of K. Koun and London Raindance Film School. She also teaches English Literature, Drama and Film Studies at a Secondary School in London and she has performed in various theatre projects in Greece, Australia and United Kingdom. Her debut short film 'SHE' has received multiple awards from international film festivals such as London Greek Film Festival for Best Short Film, California Women Film Festival for Best Short Narrative, Milan Indie Film Festival for Best Director for a Short Film, Bridges International film Festival for Best Debut Director for a short film and it has also been officially selected in various film festivals among others: Los Angeles Lift Off Film Festival, Cyprus International Film Festival, London Women Film Festival, New York International Women Festival, Frames of New York, Rome International Film Festival, Paris Women Cine Fest.
