Frank Matson is a multiple Emmy® Award-winning Executive Producer and the Founder/CEO of Denver-based Citizen Pictures, a full-service production company specializing in creating, developing, packaging and producing meaningful, inspiring content that pushes the creative envelope.
Established in 1984 by Matson, Citizen Pictures began as a small branded programming company, and has grown into a multi-award-winning television production + content hub. Citizen is focused on creating lifestyle-centric programming that features talent-driven and high-profile storytelling.
One of America's most prolific production companies, Citizen Pictures has produced thousands of hours of groundbreaking television for the likes of Food Network, Discovery, HGTV, Travel Channel, Bravo and other networks. Highlights include the Emmy Award-winning Giada at Home and pop culture phenomenon Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Food Network's #1 ranked show for nearly a decade, with more than two-dozen seasons and counting.
Under Matson's visionary leadership, Citizen devolved from its origin as a TV-specific production house into a full-scale content creation company, with a thriving branded entertainment division. The 1940s converted-shoe-warehouse-turned-office is the creative center for a multitude of diverse and talented individuals with a shared passion for storytelling.
