Florian Schott is a German filmmaker living in Namibia since 2009.
His Namibian Short Films "Everything Happens for a Reason" (2013) and "Baxu and the Giants" (2019) as well as his Feature Film "Katutura" (2015) screened at Film Festivals worldwide and won numerous international Awards. "Baxu and the Giants" became the first Namibian film on streaming platform Netflix.
Next to long running crime series for German television Florian also directed two TV films of German thriller franchise "Der Dänemark-Krimi" (2024 / 2026) and co-directed limited series "Take the Money and Run" (2026).
He is in development of three African Feature Films as well as an African limited series.
