Born and raised in Harwood Heights, Illinois, Nardulli originally pursued a career in football. A three-time All-American at Elmhurst College, he went on to play professionally for the Bolzano Giants in Italy before continuing his career with teams in Ohio and Illinois, finishing with the Chicago Thunder. He was later inducted into both the Elmhurst College Athletics Hall of Fame and the Chicago Thunder Hall of Fame in recognition of his accomplishments on the field. After retiring from football, he unexpectedly entered the entertainment world as a member of the legendary male dance troupe The Chippendales. That experience opened the door to acting and led to his first on-screen role on *General Hospital*.
