Biography

Simon Alveranga

Mini bio

  • Simon is a highly versatile producer with roots in documentary storytelling who has built a career bridging factual and commercial production. Known for building lasting relationships with clients and crew while consistently elevating production value across genres, his approach combines strong editorial judgment with creative problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.

His career spans broadcast, branded content, and narrative film production. Starting out in factual TV Simon earnt an RTS win for his work on Frank Bruno Gloves Off (ITV) and a nomination for his First Cut documentary, Teen Undertakers (Ch4). He then went on to direct on 24hrs in A&E (Ch4).

Following this success, Simon founded and led a production company for thirteen years, specialising in branded content. Through collaborations with global brands like G-Shock, Whirlpool and New Era he developed a documentary-style approach that redefined commercial storytelling conventions.

The transition to narrative filmmaking marks Simon's current focus. His latest company Naught Films LTD has produced 'A Day in June', which won Best Drama and was praised by Alzheimer's UK. Additional producing credits include the award winning micro short 'Small Change' starring Theo Barklem-Biggs (SAS Heroes) and critically acclaimed 'Mouse!' staring Vikash Bilah (Limbo) and Rakhee Thakrar (Wonka, Sex Education) co-produced with Rogue Films.
