  • Ramiro Medina Flores is a Chicano director, producer, storyteller, photographer, and speaker. He is the founder of WeAreNotZombies.com (WANZ), a multicultural platform that transforms stories into powerful connections with global social and environmental impact. He studied Communication at Tec de Monterrey and Film Direction in Los Angeles and Maine. In 2003, he directed "La Vulka", his first short film, which premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival (2004). In 2011, he directed the feature film "Contratiempo". His work spans film, radio, photography, and documentary, with projects exhibited and produced in Mexico, New York, Madrid, France, Cuba, Bosnia, Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia. He is currently directing "Monstruos de la Marimba", a documentary about the story and evolution of the Mexican cumbia punk band Son Rompe Pera.
