  • Canadian playwright and activist, his pen name comes from Bob Dylan song, "Pretty Peggy-O".
  • His most famous work is the 1979 play Balconville, about a group of working-class people living in Montreal's Pointe-Saint-Charles neighborhood. About a third of the dialogue was spoken in French, making it the first bilingual play in the history of Canadian theater.
