Biography

Arabella Stanton is a young English actress whose early career has been shaped by major musical-theatre roles and a high-profile move into voice work and then screen. She first came to wider attention in the West End production of Matilda the Musical, where she shared the title role of Matilda Wormwood at London’s Cambridge Theatre in the 2023-2024 season when she was 9-years old. After Matilda, Stanton expanded her stage work by going straight into the original London cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express, where she played Control in 2024.

At the start of 2025, Stanton started to record as the voice of Hermione Granger in audiobooks one to three of Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions. Audible and Pottermore Publishing released the first title, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone) in November 2025.

In May 2025, HBO confirmed that Arabella Stanton had been cast as Hermione Granger in its forthcoming Harry Potter television series. The first season of the HBO Original Harry Potter television series is set to premiere on December 25, 2026.
