Biography

Jonathan Schwartz is an American radio personality, known for his devotion to the Great American Songbook. From the 1960s on, he has been a presence on radio stations in the New York radio market, until December 2017. Additionally, Schwartz sometimes performs as a singer and has recorded numerous selections from the collection of popular music from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s known as the Great American Songbook. Schwartz has also written novels, short stories, and a memoir, All In Good Time (2004).

At his wedding with Zohra Lampert, Tony Bennett sang "I See Your Face Before Me", whose lyrics were written by Schwartz's famous father, Arthur Schwartz.

Schwartz, a long-time New York DJ, is renowned for his encyclopedic knowledge of popular American music, especially Frank Sinatra's, and even Ol' Blue Eyes, himself, was amazed at Schwartz's command of his entire recorded repertoire.
