Eliza Harvey
Eliza Blue began her career in journalism as a producer on the summer Breakfast program on the ABC's Radio National in 2003.
She then worked as producer on a number of programs on Sydney radio, while completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Sydney University, majoring in History and Politics.
Eliza then worked at the Sydney bureau of a Japanese news wire service, Kyodo News, while also studying for a Masters in Political Science.
She joined the ABC in 2007 and was posted to Hobart.
In February 2008 Eliza swapped the cold Tassie climate for a posting in Karratha in WA's Pilbara region where she reported on the resources industry at ground level, visiting mine sites and travelling around a region that produces 40 per cent of Australia's exports.
She brought her first-hand knowledge of the resources industry to Perth to begin work as business reporter for ABC TV, Radio and online news.
Eliza is a keen sports fan and loves going to Subiaco Oval when her beloved Sydney Swans play their arch rivals, the West Coast Eagles... when will she ever learn?
